Parque Natural de Montesinho Interpretation Center

The project for the Parque Natural de Montesinho Interpretation Center is based on four volumes, fragmented and surrounded by vegetation, glimpsing between the tree’s foliage, in a dialogue with the park that unrolls itself in wide views.
The design of the four volumes intertwined comes from a functional hierarchy, organizing the various components that form the base program.
The four volumes land over schist walls and granite terraces that contradict the slope of the terrain. The highest volume signals the presence of the Interpretation Center in the park and marks the entry of the building.
