The competition “Astambéin – Scenografie Urbane per le Terre dell’Unione” was focused on the design of urban equipment in the context of the Program for the Development of Natural Markets of the “Unione Terre di Castelli” in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
Our proposal was focused in three key-words: adaptability, simplicity and sustainability.
The equipment was developed to be easily put together, with different combinations, adapting itself to different urban scenarios – squares, streets, gardens, etc. The sober design, punctuated by some dissonant and even humorist characteristics (such as scale and color), allow the city background to be the true protagonist of the Natural Markets.
All the equipment is made with recycled materials, without losing any robustness, durability or needed adaptability.
